Although this is not my preferred choice of fishing these days, I do visit the fishery with some friends a couple of times a year. They seem to catch well on Ronnie rigs, with a nice pineapple popup. As the years have gone by, reducing the amount of feed that goes in is important. A small amount of bait and just sit on it.
Billingford Fishing Lakes

This lake is not a runs water but can surprise you. I once saw a chap pull 3 thirties out in one morning on a 15mm cell boilie. There’s a few 40’s and upwards of 70 30s. This is a venue where you want to fish as regularly as possible as each peg seems to fish slightly differently.
Mill Lake
Mill Lake is widely seen as a strong day-ticket carp water, popular with anglers who want action but still care about fish quality. The lake’s stock makes it possible to put together good sessions, and carp weights are respectable enough to keep things interesting.

This fishing lake is packed with fish. If you blank, you’re probably at the wrong lake. I see this as a match style lake for carp anglers and perfect if you just want to catch a fish and not blessed with a lot of time. It’s best contact the site and make sure there’s some availability.
Bartles Lodge
Bartles Lodge is a smaller, friendly fishery that has carved out its own place in the Norfolk carp scene. The carp are a decent average size for a water of this scale, and the intimate layout makes it a good candidate for surface fishing in the warmer months.
Because of its size and atmosphere, Bartles Lodge is ideal if you like being close to the fish and reading their behaviour carefully – watching them move, feeding mixers, and picking off fish one by one rather than just sitting behind static rods. It’s well suited to carp anglers who appreciate a more close-up, visual style of fishing.
I love this site. It’s not really a traditional carp fishery at all. In fact, i would say it’s most like a pleasure lake than anything else. It’s very shallow so make sure you come prepared for that. The owners are lovely and it’s in such a nice area of the county.
Swangey Lakes
Swangey Lakes is a multi-species specimen venue with carp, tench, bream, catfish and pike reaching good sizes. For carp anglers, that means a genuinely interesting environment where carp share the water with other big fish rather than being the only focus.

I’ve been fishing here for years and love this place. There’s some really quality fish to be had here especially cat fish. I would try get here as early as possible especially on a weekend as the pegs get taken very quickly. The smaller lake is set up for pleasure anglers and not really designed for heavy carp fishing.
Cross Drove Fishery
Cross Drove combines elements of carp fishing and mixed coarse angling, making it a flexible option if you like both. Carp stocks are strong enough to warrant focused carp sessions, but the venue also works well for anglers happy with mixed catches.

This lake is a true mixed coarse fishery. I’ve seen huge catfish and carp out of this lake. Don’t come here if you want to bag up. It’s took me 3 or 4 visits to figure out how to approach it. There’s pegs I avoid and I also don’t come here in the colder months as the risk of blanking for carp is high.
Taswood Lakes
Taswood Lakes is a large, established complex in the Tas Valley, known for offering both specimen carp waters and mixed coarse lakes. Carp here reach serious sizes, and the complex has grown into a key part of Norfolk’s carp scene over the years.

My favorite out of all fishing lakes in norfolk. It has something for everybody. Carp to 40, specimen tench, bream, roach and chub. There’s also barbel at this complex. It’s great for fishing holidays with accommodation as well as day tickets. A mix of bait works well as well as swims.
Barford Lakes
Barford Lakes offers several well-stocked lakes that cater to pleasure, match and carp fishing, making it a versatile choice. Carp here are plentiful and varied in size, and the venue is known for being accessible and busy with anglers of different levels.

This is a membership complex but well worth the price. There’s an abundance of lakes that suit different anglers. The main fished match style lakes have average size carp to around 8lb. You won’t really get any massive carp as such but they do go to over 20lb. This venue I would class as a more professional fishing venue and the facilities show
Broome Pits Fishery
Broome Pits and nearby fisheries bring another angle to Norfolk carp fishing, with woodland and rural settings and a mix of carp and other coarse species. Carp weights are solid, and the atmosphere tends to be more relaxed and scenic.
